The tool is capable of fast and accurate activations and decodes of TPMS and display of their data and any faults. It supports the replacement of TPMS sensors and the reprogramming of the car and turns the warning light off (if the vehicle engine management software has a built in relearn option). The tool actually decodes the sensor data which ensures that the correct TPM is being read and that the tool is not fooled by RF transmissions from keyfobs or other sensors. The audit process allows the operator to display the full TPMS data on screen including sensor manufacturer, type, description, sensor ID (hex and/or numerical), temperature and pressure (which it can display in PSI, KPA, Celsius). If the sensor outputs battery state and accelerometer then the Wheelrite Journeyman will display. The menu allows selectable mode changing. If the sensor allows, the Wheelrite Journeyman can make mode changes e.g. from Ship mode to Park Mode. This tool works with all cars on the market. The tool is software updateable using a standard USB cable to a PC. Programming kit sold separately. This is important as new TPMS are being fitted to new models at an increasing rate. This service is the best available from any tool manufacturer as Bartec are working in the car plants and hence have the TPMS updates up to a year before other manufacturers. The tool comes with rechargeable batteries and a PSU.
