OBD Assisted TPMS Relearn On Ford Vehicles

Today's Tech Tip will show you the step-by-step instructions for completing an OBD Assisted TPMS relearn on Ford vehicles using a Bartec Tech 600Pro or Tech 550Pro tool.

Process:

1. Starting at the Home Screen, select “New Service.”
2. Turn the vehicle ignition ON with the engine OFF.
3. Select “VINDicate” to decode the VIN, or manually select vehicle using MMY (Make, Model, Year) Listing.
4. Once on the Service screen, select “Relearn.”
5. Select “Relearn: OBD RITE-SYNC.”
6. Review the relearn directions prior to initiating the relearn.
7. Starting at the LF wheel position, scan each sensor in order: LF, RF, RR, LR.
8. When prompted, connect the tool to the vehicle’s OBD port and press ENTER to upload the sensor IDs to the ECU.
1. NOTE: After uploading the IDs, Ford vehicles will enter Factory Mode. The dome lights and TPMS indicator will flash until a second sensor activation is completed. This is normal operation.
9. After uploading the IDs, leave the vehicle ignition ON and activate all TPMS sensors again.
10. Verify that the TPMS warning light is off.
